Maplewood Animal Care & Training, Inc located in South Eastern, MA, strives to provide quality positive reinforcement instruction in canine obedience, agility, clicker and behavior.

Maplewood Animal Care & Training, Inc has been in existence since 1993 and during that time training techniques have been developed that make learning a fun, exciting and positive adventure for both the canine and human mind.  We believe in the "humanely train, not pain" philosophy of teaching any animal.

All of our instructors take continuing education seminars and courses in a variety of different topics from behavior, to veterinary health, diet and structure to general training and more.  A number of us are APDT members and CPDT certified (Certification for Pet Dog Trainers).  We all approach certain things a little differently, but the principle and end result is the same- a happy, well adjusted canine friend and a positive education for his or her human companion.  We have all had challenging dogs in our lives and have learned how to positive address issues presented to us and to 'think outside the box.'  Our end philosophy is, "It's all about the dog!" and our favorite phrase is, "Give your dog a cookie!!"

We offer INDOOR weekly classes and private lessons in agility, obedience, clicker, and CGC all year round.  Play style appropriate Supervised Play Groups are offered outdoors in warm weather.  Behavioral Consults and Management private lessons are also offered with our head trainer Katrin Andberg.  A variety of seminars & other activities are offered throughout the year.  Please visit 'Calendar' for more information about what's going on!

All of our classes are positively based and strive to be FUN for both the human and canine part of the team!  We strive to maintain a personal approach to dog training and attempt to keep our classes small in order to reach that goal.  We encourage our students to ask questions and try new thinking thereby making learning a fun yet challenging experience for all involved!

We do not advocate the use of choke chains, pinch or prong collars, or electronic shock collars.

We hope you find your visit here pleasant and easy to read and follow!  As always we are available by e-mail to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  Enjoy! :-)
