How Can I Help?

There are many ways to help Maplewood Assistance Partners, Inc. to continue training exceptional quality service dogs for the disabled.

Donate your Time:  Please see our Volunteers page for various ways you can donate your time to MAP.  Be it through Puppy Raising, acting on one of our Committees or other ways, we can never thank our volunteers enough!

Monetary Donations: One way to help is through monetary donations.  It costs approximately $13,000 to properly train and outfit a service dog.  All dogs going through the program receive vaccinations, hip and elbow x-rays, a comprehensive eye exam, and any other veterinary care needed, ID tags and harnesses and any other outfitting required for the dog to do his work as well as advanced training to prepare the dog for his working career.   Donations may be made in check or money order made out to Maplewood Assistance Partners, Inc. and mailed to our address at 12 Maple Ave, Foxboro, MA 02035 or you can donate with a credit card via PayPal with the below button:

Sponsor a Puppy:  Another way to help is by sponsoring a puppy.  Sponsors donate $5,000 and are given the right to name a dog in the program.  They are then sent information and updates about a dog in training.  Sponsors may be individuals, families or places of business.  Naming a puppy after a loved one as a special tribute or memorial is a wonderful way to honor someone.  Click on the below image to Sponsor a Puppy via a PayPal payment.  Please contact us with your contact information including Contact Name, Address, Phone and E-mail if you or your business are interested in Sponsoring a Puppy.

Supplies:  Maplewood is also in need off supply donations.  Foldable dog crates, dog blankets, Eukanuba Large Breed Dog Food, and 2 quart metal food bowls are always needed.

Advertising:  Space in news papers, magazines and other publications is also a wonderful donation.

Educational Speakers:  Educational speakers donate their time to Maplewood by going through a training process to learn about the program and then going out into the community and speak about service dogs.

Puppies and Dogs We will evaluate entire litters of puppies at age 49 days for potential acceptance into our Puppy Raiser Program and then accept evaluated puppies at age 8-9 weeks of age.  Puppies donated to Maplewood Assistance Partners, Inc. become the property of Maplewood Assistance Partners, Inc. and will be placed in a volunteer Puppy Raiser Home for basic training and socialization.  We generally accept Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers with documented OFA and CERF backgrounds.  Other breeds and crosses may be accepted on a case by case basis.  We sometimes accept older puppies and adults into our program as well.  Please contact us if you are interested in donating a dog or puppy to our program.

"Partner is my hero and constant companion. I would not have the sense of security he gives me if it was not for the MAP program. I am able to get out and about with ease and confidence because of the training we received. My trainer was a joy to work with and has never-ending patience. You cannot put a price on what she and the program have given me." - Ann

"We are pleased with our daughter's MAP service dog, Independence and have recommended them to others. We couldn't have asked for a better dog and companion for our daughter and her training is exceptional."- Cheryl
