Behavior Consults

At Maplewood Dog Training, behavior problems are our expertise. Utilizing proven, effective, humane and safe behavior modification protocols, we have successfully helped clients change and manage their dog's aggressive, fearful, and compulsive behaviors and phobias. Our head instructor, Katrin Andberg, has over 15 years of experience working with dogs with behavior problems, and specializes in dog-on-dog aggression, human-directed aggression, resource guarding and fear aggression. 

During the Initial Behavior Consult, much of the time is spent getting a full history on your dog(s) and situation, the specific problems you would like to address, what Katrin's recommendations for change and addressing the issues would be, approximate time and monetary commitment for the family should they choose to continue working with Katrin for these specific problems will be discussed, and other potential areas to explore such as a veterinary behavior consult and medical work up to address the issues presented. Most times we being exploring a behavior modification protocol during the initial Behavior Consult.
