Paintings by K. Andberg
Unique Oil Paintings of Canine Friends Sharon, MA | I do occasionally take commissions for pieces on a small scale basis. As said in other parts of this site, painting is my hobby not my full time job, so things get done as they get done. It is also important to remember that oils don't air dry, they cure, so there is a set amount of time after a piece is completed for it to sit before either a breathable or hard varnish can be put on it and it can be framed. The average time for the completion of a commission is 1 year. I prefer to paint dogs in natural poses and settings, not from candid photos. I try to make allowances for personal requests, but one of the nice things about a commission is allowing for the artist's interpretation of the piece. That is what makes it a unique and memorable piece of art. If you would be interested in speaking with me about commissioning a piece of your favorite dog or dogs, please contact me at katrin@maplewooddog.com and I would be happy to discuss various options with you. |
