Gondolin's Road Goes Ever On CGC
"Obi" Ch Flying C's Thief of Gondolin "Tanner" x Ch Grousemoor Playtime at Gondolin "Risa" DOB 2/14/08 Obi is another flat-coat from Sandee & Chris Butler of Gondolin Retrievers in WA, same breeders Niche & Regal are from (his father, Tanner, is closely related to both Niche & Regal). He will hopefully be my next service dog, when James is retired. I hope that this little guy will fill the very big paws he has to fill. We will also train in obedience, agility, hunt tests and anything else he so desires. Obi's registered name is of Tolkien theme (his litter theme) and a walking song sung in The Hobbit called "The Road Goes Ever On." I thought it was fitting since I hope that he will be willing and able to take the journey as my next service dog and in that job the road is pretty never ending (or so James says :-)). After spending over 2 weeks with him and his littermates out in WA, when he and I decided that he was going to come home with me, I decided to call him Obi. He is a very thoughtful little pup, always sitting watching, taking things in, thinking then acting and sedate yet active when he wanted. So I decided to call him "Obi" after Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars and how he was a very calm and wise character. So that's his name- Obi. |
