Hi. I'm Lisa and this is my home page. I am companion to Clara, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi aka Heronsway Lil' Miss Can't B Wrong NAJ, Novice Versatility, RN, CGC, S-NJC and to Ryan the Vizsla aka Copper Creek Russkin Orion CGC.
My day job is as a Veterinary Technician, which I have been dedicated to for over 17 years. I especially love the new puppy appointments and helping with the c-sections, as we do many of those at work.
I also run R+ a reward based dog training school in the Pembroke area. My specialty is puppy development consultations, but I also work with clients who have older dogs teaching basic manners, socialization and do some work with behavior issues. In my Puppy Development Consultations I help my students with puppy manners, basic obedience, socialization, house training, mouthing & biting, kids & puppies, crate training and a variety of other topics. I teach lessons in both group and private class settings.
Outside of work, I travel the country doing dog stuff. My friend Katrin and I have been all over going to dog events, mostly agility but some obedience, rally, conformation and hunt tests (those are for her Flat-Coated Retrievers, NOT for my 1 eyed corgi!). Katrin & I have a specific adventure called Clara Across America! Check out the FUN!!!
Throughout this web site I will try to keep it current with my on going adventures with Clara and Ryan. It also has pages for my dogs who have gone- Daisy and Lucy. I will miss them always.
