Week of Grief

It’s been a sad week so far.  Today was my husband’s grandfather’s service.  Which was quiet and nice as such events can be, the Massachusetts National Cemetery was quite lovely actually.  The staff and volunteers were incredibly kind.  I had no idea there was a military cemetery in Bourne, I’m glad I now know.

And The Poof passed away yesterday afternoon.  I’ve written about him here before, one of my regular visiting dogs.  Rest in peace Teddy.  You were incredibly well loved and will be missed.  I’m so glad I got to be part of your life.  Damn, I loved that little weirdo.

  1. It’s so hard to lose a person, but some people just don’t understand the bond between a dog lover and a dog. Some of them might say “oh it’s just a dog, buy another one.” For true dog lovers, those are words that are unthinkable. I’m so sorry you lost your friend.
