Payment

Payment is expected in full before or at time of service payable via Venmo, Paypal, or check.  All payments must be made in U.S. dollars.  There is a $30 additional charge for all returned checks.

If a series of Follow Up Private Consults is purchased at the package price discounted rate, all consult sessions must be completed within 12 weeks from time of purchase for the discounted package rate to be valid.

Cancellation & Refund Policies

Private Lessons: We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for private lesson services.  Services canceled with less than 24 hour notice will be considered 'no shows' and billed at full consult rates.  Clients who accrue a history of 2 no shows will be placed on prepayment only and must prepay for all services at least 72 hours in advance of service.

Services canceled by Maplewood Dog will be offered a make-up option.  When a make up option is not offered, a refund for canceled services will be offered.  Please be sure we have the most reliable means of contacting you regarding cancellation decisions.

Notes on Technology:

Virtual lessons are held using Zoom, Skype or FaceTime at the client’s preference.  Please indicate your preferred platform at the time of scheduling.  Test that your device’s video and microphone are functioning in the area you plan to be working in with your dog for your lesson before your lesson’s scheduled start time, and that your battery is fully charged.  Sometimes when inside using wifi, where you are in your house will impact video lag and quality.  Clients are fully responsible for any session fees that may result from session cancelling or rescheduling within 24hrs due to technological related delays or issues on the part of the client.

In the event of technological delays or failures on the part of Maplewood Dog, the lesson will be rescheduled or the client will be offered a full or partial refund for the session depending on the nature of the technological failure.
